Nicole is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor who provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults with the help of her Service Animal in Training, Finn. Nicole earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology at The George Washington University and is completing her pre-doctoral residency at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington.
Nicole enjoys working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, behavioral issues, difficulties with self-esteem, and relational challenges. She welcomes the opportunity to work with clientele from diverse backgrounds and life stages.
As a therapist, Nicole brings her warmth, compassion, and sense of humor to create a collaborative and accepting relationship. She works to create a safe space where clients can feel free to express their thoughts and feelings. She works from a strengths based model that seeks to build on each person’s innate abilities and strengths in order to reach therapeutic goals and promote change. With consent, Finn also provides a gentle, loving presence that can be very comforting, anxiety reducing, and uplifting in sessions.
