She has extensive experience working with ages 3-18, along with young adults. Emily has experience in addressing trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, developmental disorders, bipolar disorder, interpersonal relationships, and emotional regulation concerns. Emily is an ABA-certified Behavioral Health Technician with experience working with children who have developmental disabilities and mental health concerns.
Emily’s counseling approach is integrative, client-centered, and collaborative, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all method. Emily’s goal is to foster a therapeutic relationship built on trust, safety, warmth, and curiosity. When providing therapy she applies various therapeutic models, including attachment theory, DBT, CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and play therapy, and ensures that her approach is tailored to where the client is in their journey. Emily uses a brain- and trauma-informed lens, meaning she focuses on understanding the whole person and how different aspects of their life are interconnected.
